Fife Bikeworks

Fife Bikeworks, based in Glenrothes, is a registered Scottish charity that provides a number of services including the Scotland Cycle Repair Scheme, bike upcycling, repair and maintenance. You can recycle your bike, buy a refurbished bike or volunteer at this charity to help keep Fife bike and earth friendly.

Greener Kirkcaldy

Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity working locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency and support people through fuel poverty and food insecurity. They run cycling activities and workshops as well as provide a community bike shop that offers repairs and servicing as well as selling refurbished bikes. They are always looking for volunteers or donors to get involved in the program.

Scottish Government E-Bike Loan Scheme

Energy Saving Trust on behalf of Transport Scotland currently offers an interest free loan up to £6000 with a repayment period of up to 4 years. It can support up to two e-bikes capped at £3000 each, one family e-cargo bike capped at £6000 or one adaptive e-bike capped at £6000. 

CycleToWork Scheme

Fife College's CycleToWork Scheme is available to college staff members. The program means that staff members can qualify up to nearly 50% off retail prices on bikes and equipment. The program only runs part of the year but is a great option for anyone looking to invest in their own bike.

Cycling Scotland

Cycling Scotland is Scotland’s national cycling charity. Working closely with Transport Scotland, they strive to create a safe environment for cycling across Scotland. You can receive training, get involved in campaigns or even apply for funding for your cycling project.
